Vaginoplasty

Vaginoplasty is a procedure which focuses on reducing the width of the vagina. Though the vagina is naturally designed to stretch during sex and childbirth, over time the tissues of the vagina become lose especially after multiple childbirths. At times this permanent stretching may affect a women enjoyment during sex. During a vaginoplasty, a cosmetic surgeon uses techniques like tightening the perineal muscles or making repairs to the rear vaginal wall which reduces the overall width of the vagina and tightening the tissues. It is usually sought as a cosmetic procedure. But it can also be used as a reconstructive procedure to address birth defects or tissue injuries which may have occurred during childbirth.

Labiaplasty

Labiaplasty is a procedure that addresses the size and shape of the labia or the folds of skin which frames the opening of the vagina. From woman to woman, there is a significant variation in the appearance of the labia naturally. Many women who seek this procedure generally have excess natural which may cause discomfort when wearing tight-fitting clothes or make sex or intimacy difficult. Thus a labiaplasty is performed to remove the excess skin from both sides of the labia to reduce the overall size or from only one side to correct the asymmetry.
